My holiday trip to melborune and sydney officially ended as at 07-07-2007 1700hrs. It was a much anticipated trip as i did things i haven done before like ski-ing and playing with snow. After the phase one of the holiday to sunshine and goldcoast and byron which was a shivering experience i embarkd on phase two on 28th of June 07. Thanks to my friend eric who sent me to the airport so i could save on the public transport and the waiting time. There is soo much to do and see and there's just too little time to finish evryting.

 

In melbourne where the journey commence at 1am when i reached avalon. it's like over 50kilometres from melbourne man... took me near to a hour of driving to reach king street backpackers. The tiolet was made up badly and the double decker beds simply stinks.

AFter catching some sleep the journey continued.

 

29/06/07 Day 1:

We set off for the 12 apostles which is along the great ocean road. Damn bloody long drive with corners similar to mount akina the ride was bumpy and my poor passengers had to suck it up as IM THE BOSS because i'm at the wheel. Nearly killed a koala when IT jumped on the road out of nowhere at one of the sharp bend. IT survived greatly due to my quick responses to the braking system with ABS equied toyota corrolla rented from hertz. Had a fright of my life and from then on i was driving at moderate speed without speeding along the tracks. Victoria's a nice place for you to test your cars. I reach heights which i never thought would be able to reach by dragging the poor corrolla which peaked out at 195km/h. All rgiht soo much for the trying out the cars. We reached a place where it was eagle rock still quite a long drive before reaching the 12huge rocks. And it started drizzling dumpening the spirit of the trip. However setting foot at the gallery where there was a path way to link you to the apostles the weather cleared. Wind was howling the shore like nobody's business man it was cold. But i was well prepareed so it  didn't turn out that bad for me. :D

After spending some time at the highlight of the day where we viewed the rocks we made our way back to melbourne. Was a couple of hours drive back. I would say much of the day was spent it on driving. had dinner at chinatown was worn out after the day of hard driving wiht utmost attention to the road with fear of another koala trying to do another spectacular move. So much so for the first day.

 

30/06/07 Day 2:

Embark on the journey to philip island to see the penguims coming back to shore to lay eggs and mate. Which the island pretty early but the penguim parade only starts at 1700hrs. Had to roam the place went to the vietnamese war museum interestigly at philip island. Learnt some facts about it and nearly dozed off during the video presentation of events which happened in the past. THen to the penguim parade. Cost me 17bucks to watch the penguim come to shore and the tempreature was freezing as the wind was howling once again bringing the temperature lower. the penguims were cute and small sized like tiny babies not like those u've seen in HAPPY FEET so huge. They walk in groups and they seem pretty clumpsy. People out there if you are going to philip island pls do not hesistate to purchase the 20bucks ticket which gives you a more excellent view of the penguim. The 17bucks ticket was a total crap and you need to have a binoculars in order for you to see them clearly and it was dark at the 17bucks arena. That sums up day 2.

Its 5 days since the exams had ended and it has being an eventful 5days with none stop excitement joy events. Let's start from the day after i finished my last paper studying at jirat's place overnite with james. Thanks to them the exam was pretty much simple.

 

Day 1:

 After the exams i went out to the city to shop for thermal wear to get geared up for the upcoming melbourne trip on the 28th which is a 2days from now and i won't be updating the blog unless i find a computer which i can access to update. After shopping i went to collect my rented car from BUDGET car rentals its a stupid rental company which is located at a deserted area and it took james 30mins to roam the city to no avail and i had to get my ass off the car to find the exact location of the damn SHOP! soo pissed well but its over.... That night we sent many ppl off as they finished their last paper and some are returning to singapore n some are going on holidays. Made me go to the airport twice but its worth it as they are my valued friends.. and had dinner at cybercity at chinatown when someone has a HKSA(HongKong Student Asscoiation) card and didn't flash it for us to get the 10% discount. sobsob..

 

Day 2:

Official fun day begins! With the rental car we travelled thousands of kilometres without. I've embarked the journey with a crew of 3 conisiting Lawerence, Kieth and James too bad jirat's not around but anyway we shall add him in when we go on the next road trip. We went sunnybanks for lunch after picking lawerence up form his final paper on the 22th Of June. We went sunnybanks for lunch and after that we went harbourtown to do some shopping which was an empty-handed trip again as i juz can't find anything interesting to buy there and still prefer to shop in SG as there's more variety and nicer clothings. After harbourtown we went to the coast to take bump around. The coast HAS changed soo much since i last visited it 3yrs ago. Everything changed soo much!.. There was a night market and many shops but the weather was chiilling that night as they were placed juz before the beach. Many interesting stuffs were seen and the busker's at surfer's was soo much better as comapred ot the streets of brisbane.

 

Day 3: Afters mugging at the coast to 3am the next day we set of our journey to byron bay the easternest part of australia where you would be able to see the sun earliest in the whole australia. BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENED! It was soo cold up there and we had to cardle together ot keep warmth. and met a couple of singpaoreans there who was as insane as us going to byron bay during winter with the coldness and wetness where it was raining. After coming down from the lighthouse the highest point in byron bay we went 2 several other observation spots which were crap. Btw byron bay is located in New South Wales its about 200+ km from brisbane. Long drive...

 

After that we went to twead heads which was the first settlements in australia but i thought its supposed to be in sydney? where the prison was built made popular by the name "The Rocks"? Something's not right gonna investigate when i find the time. for now gonna leave it as it is. After that we went up sunshine coast after having BIG BREAKFAST at twead heads. It was  a sumptous brekfast wiht alot of junk. :)

 

Went super bee to see the honey factory and purchased some honey and the ginger factory to see what stuffs is avaibale there and the highlight of the day was to went to the strawberry farm to pick STRAWBERRIES! it was fun and the strawberries tasted SWEET! Perhaps im good at choosing the best ones likes. After that we dropped by a placed to have some beef pies which was supposed to be the best beef pies in aussie but whatever it was so so.

 

After the tea break we headed back to brisbane where we chilled out at 3 monkeys a popular place at west end which is an isolated suburb. Had some chocolate milkshake which was crap thou. But a nice place to chill out in the middle of the night where everything's closed. So much for the day it ended on a high note and got back home and slpt like a pig for the next 3 hrs.

 

Day 4:

Had to return back the rented car and went to the city to do some shopping and went to catch a movie fantastic 4. It wasn't good pretty much didn't enjoyed it would rather watch ocean's thriteen which i reckon would be a much better movie as compared to that. that's all for the day and i went home and slpt like a pig.

 

Day 5:

Which was yesterday went to buy a long john to wear inside to combat the snow coldness in melbourne. had lunch at chinatown and cameback home dsicussed more details on the melbourne trip and went to klub kandy at night. Was a pretty good night spot could be compared with our MOS but a smaller scale. Was packed like zouk and the population was pretty much balanced.

 

All right after the long essay gonna upload some photos and end this. Jirat all the best for your wedding!

The 1st paper stinks!!! The paper was not THAT difficult thou but just that i didn't know what to write either sucks....

Yawns its such a boring weather its winter right now and the weather is always sooo cooling and cold. I hate the Radiator Fan... When i on it the room becomes too warm but when i off it the room becomes too cold how contradicting is that why doesn't it mantain the tempreature of the room instead.. Stupid radiator fan which is PROUDLY a PRODUCT of AUSTRALIA. How great is that man. Oh well... no point crying over spilt milk.... 3more papers to go one more week to endure... Before all hell breaks lose and i'll juz sit there and do nothing all day and grow fat. sounds lovely yea. Do not ENVY your time will come sounds familiar doesn't it? crap. cya guys god bless

Finally finally all the assignments are over and i'm still alive. Went to catch a movie at southbank today. The weather's turing chill and im mugging all this while since god knows when. :P Cooking is another issue running out of ideas of what to cook and with exams coming out soon on the 12th,19th,20th and the 21st of June all moods get dampen. THere's too many things to do in too little time. And now when it's all over i've got another battle ahead awaiting for me in the examination hall.

 

My school's got a funny system. Ever had an examination paper done in the cafeteria? I'm having 2 papers at the cafeteria so check that out i seriously think that its a bad idea. Some people might just throw their scripts into the rubbish bin? lol.... Well assignment marks has not being fantastically superb so gotta do well in the exams.

 

Finished watching the tv drama heros. but it's only "PART ONE" wth... means there's alot more to go for it. Grey's anatomy is cool too its being screening on sunday on yahoo 7 at 8.30pm soo it's a good timing after dinner can chill for awhile catch ugly betty at 7.30pm and progress to grey's and then to study. Sounds good? But i got to work on the final part which is the most difficult to implement.

 

Transformers is gonna be out soon. Just some brief idea to ppl who aren't no transformer freaks like me. They have being created in the late 80s to early 90s where the annimation of the transformers were done by using some computer programme which i can' t recall. They basically do out the graphics of the annimation with lines of different colours forming the whole image. Consider that LINES it takes ages to complete the series. There's DVD version available from some video stores if you guys are interested on it. But i seriously doubt anything good would come out from the movie on the 28JUNE 2007 where the movie would get released in australia. Soo much talking im definately gonna catch that movie wherever i am.. its soo damn cool. But kind of late for the sequel to continue after being forgotten by many.

 

I'm feeling muggy soo much for now. I bought prok but interestingly there's no more that foul smell comign from it i don't understand. Chocolate is good being living on them for quite some time... keeps you happy and going. But folks i've got a favour to ask for if you guys read this. PRAY FOR ME FOR MY EXAMS... if i score well I'm gonna treat you guys big time yea..

Being working on assignment all week and so has the weekend nothing more then juz assingments. The semester is coming to an end and my life's coming to an end too if i dun get things up real soon. Being working on the appendix of the HCI assingment all day long and it sucks as there's alot of stuff to be compiled from stuffs. Driving me crazy!

 

Being a week of busy things need to start studying for my exams soon as the days have being posted out from my i start on the 12th and end on the 21th! what a long day but it gives me some buffer to do catch up. It's soo tiring right now and the weather's turning chill so gotta complete everything. The due time is tmr 10am. Soo with all might pls pray for me that everything would be all rgiht. It's sickening that there's nothing much here to do over the weekend too such boring life man...

 

being in school for a saturday.. how good could it get man. Sob. Well there's this mexician food outlet called nando's juz outside my place i've tried it last friday on its 2nd day of operation its pretty crowded and i had to wait for ages for the chicken to arrive too bad i didn't bring my cybershot along else you guys would have get glimpses of the delicacies i tried. The family feast i think was huge as it is two whole chicken and one big bowl filled with chips. It's ultimately filling and i couldn't really walk after finishing the feast. Im pretty much at a loss currently gotta complete everything.

 

Yawns.

WOW.. it's being a week since i last updated this stuff... Had a hell of a week trying to solve practical problems getting back my assingment and mid semester result. like the saying always go if i didn't make that mistake i would have gotten more yea. But well i guess staying in the examination room for more time isn't wise as reccommended by my neighbour BECAUSE i had the right answer from the start and when i stayed on i was thinking too much and changed the answer and i lost silly marks just like that in a nick of time. Sob.. and i realised i made a mistake for the quiz to clumpsy me can't really think what's right at the point of time only when i submitted the paper i thought of the perfect solution. GUess perhaps insufficient rest might be one of the causes. And im going back to school today to do assingment how great going back on a sat. N i'm backed from west end and through the week i found the mystery pork agenda in courtesy of my assignment mate. All right soo much for it. The difference in the pork is becasue the pigs in most asian countries were castrated since their birth perhaps that's the best explaination i could find at this moment. Probably the smell was caused by hormoes of sorts i guess.. eeeks... NO PORK>>>Sounds familiar?

Sob exams drawing nearer and project deadlines and the assignments are getting more. Gotta find away to work things out else it's gonna be late nights as usual. Yawns anyway gotta prep to go back to school right now..

All right it was an eventful day yesterday went to groceries in the morning as usual as its a saturday which is the only day the wet market is opened. Well and i discovered a place where they are selling poultry in there so this time round i was able to reduce the shopping to just  a single day to finish my groceries. The pork here has a stinking smell which i can't explain why is the AIRPORK in sgland smell free whereas the pork here has a smell. It beats me thou. :D

Went Southbank for the Vesak Day celebration last night to take walk around the place as i haven being to the city in weeks man. There's a festival going on with lots of displays and stuffs for you to play and snacks for you to try. i took a couple of photos via my n73 but the effect kinda sux as there isn't sufficent lighting for everything and i took a video of the fireworks which i would be uploading shortly after i figure how to convert mp4 to flv format then i'll be able to display it.

They've gt fireworks 2 days in a roll and yesterday's display was like 15mins! The variety aren't as much as SG but the display was definately longer then those u get from SG during the festive season. So much so for now perhaps i might be going again tonight to compare the fireworks display and armed with my Digital cam to give you better resolution photos. :P

Time flies week 9 is drawing to a close and in a couple of weeks my first semester in UQ gonna be drawn to a close. Assigments and everything would be due. Deadlines to be met quiz to be studied projects to be submited. Why's student life is always soo hectic is there really a need to make life into such misery? Or was it just for me?

 

Had my full 8-5 schedule today kinda hectic but that's the way i planned so gotta live with it for the mean time. There's so many things to be done and i'm soo lazy! y am i soo lazy? SOb SOb always waiting for the last min. to get things done.. sobsob that's bad... hope i will be able to pull thru everything and utilize my weekend I WANNA CATCH SPIDERMAN! it's out but i didn make it to the debut sobsob... soo much for now gotta get cracking. 

 

Finally the week full of events has being over and finally i can have a break for a while before i start on my Project assignment again.  Done groceries at west end.. The only fresh fish i've bought in brisbane would be dory. As its the cheapest and its the easiest to cook. Rest of the fishes are expensive and they dun look as good as compared in SG Land. Well i discovered recently that the pork in australia has different smell and taste as compared. THeir texture are funny too but perhaps after more investigation i could probably live out of it either not having or perhaps a way to get out of the taste.

it's soo boring life here in australia through its laid back but there's nothing much you can do and perhaps i dunno where r the places to hang out and their practically nothing much you could do about it. Being surfing the net and reading news there's practically nothing to do buy to study i think that's what i'm here for. But time gets boring and alot of shit has to be done. Sob... Let's hope i can live out of it.

Finally i got back my first quiz marks and the assignment marks... Why are they stingy with their marks or an i rather too screwed up over the assignment? I dunno man... damnit well there's a Mid Semester on friday hope everything goes well guess this is gonna be the last time i gonna update the blog for the week probably the next time when i get time to update everything would be on friday after i finish my test and everything which i can unwind abit n get cracking on my assignments which are gonna be due real soon as everything is coming to an end and with project coming up my ASS! i'm gonna be crazy in no time... Sob...

Well.. University education is paying to be insane and act to be psychotically stable while you aren't when everything come crashing down just take it as its the gravitational pull that's causing it. gotta get cracking.. Chao...

Finally the week has passed... Faced the ups and downs of the week. Studied for the quiz today but in the end i screwed it up. The feeling kinda sux thou. I dunno what was i doing thru my mind the whole time when i was doing the paper damnit. Was i possessed? POPE PLS HELP! The feeling kinda sux by attempting the question from the wrong point of view. 

 

The worse part is it's a friday! it totally screwed my day buy well life goes on. Let's get past this moody day and try to get going there's still alot of unfinished business awaiting for me to settle. Dun think there'll be much time left for me to study so gotta utilize the time frm now to the end to try to work things out and try to get rid of my 5min concentration problem. It's being haunting me till now. And one more thing i pretty much hate this boring interface shall get it fixed after my test. Till then let's live with this crap for nw.

Hope from this point on everything's gonna take a turn for the better.

Finally school has reopened after the easter hoiday. Feeling soo tired now after walking back from school finishing my preparation practical for tmr. WAlking to school in the afternoon today is kinda warm again. guess the cold wind doesn't really help much in cooling the body tempreature as you are walking. Tried indonesian cusine today... Had keropok which i haven ate in ages even when i was in singapore the sambal chilli and the curry was quite cool or perhaps i skipped breakfast that's y lunch was so delicious.

 

Finally assingment was submited at 3am this morning after fine tuning and authoring of certain parts of the document everything has settled and its time to start preparing for the week's quiz and PROJECT and another assingment. GOD KILL ME!

 

Anyway gonna take a nap now to store enough energy tonight to do work. :D

it's only being a blink of an eye and the holidays are gonna be over!!! That's bad as it means all the deadline for assignments and Mid Semester test are all on the way. OMG!! Help Help could someone pls turn back time??? Had being working on one of the asisngments lately and it has being consuming alot of time as its essay writing... Bein struggling with that for quite awhile but i guess this time round i'm more prepared as its a second submission. Hope i can get better marks this time round... =)

Caught a couple of movies lately but did not catch 300 which was HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by our dear MRBROWN. Caught TMNT wasn't as good as i expected the storyline and the screenplay kind of suck. It was rather nice to see some familiar character of the past but in this movie their totally repackaged and doesn't feel as original as before. They sure had caught up with times... Being catching alot of simpsons lately on tv as they are screening it everyday at 6pm here on channel ten. It's kinda cool as it is the longest running sitcom in the US and a movie on simpson's is gonna screen here in July. Guess its gonna be gig here rather in Singapore.

 

Yawns Yawns... woke up early this morning to do  marketing at WEST END... Didn't manage to buy much as cash was an obstacle and the AuSSIE CURRENCY HAS ROSED to a phenomenon high at $1.308. It's getting ridiculous as Singapore's currency is shrinking and shrinking. What have they being doin man... Busy stuffing additional cash into their pockets and booasting it to the world? perhaps i guess lala...

Easter's over and guess what i've got my 1st bunny chocolate from COLES! THere wasn't much discount as you can see from the photo the bunny is kinda huge.. Caught TMNT yesterday it was kinda cool but the movie was short and storyline wasn't that good i guess. Kinda disappointed should had caught 300 as MRbrown said die die also must catch. But i guess i'm gonna wait for the dvd to be release ba.

 

Guess what the movies here are of the same price as SG. It's only $5.70 for a show but that's the concession rate la. Still okie for me to watch if you dun have safra card in sg it cost you a whopping $9.50 for a ticket. But the down part is that their popcorn and drinks aren't that nice compared to GVs but their cheaper. They do not sell nacho's! tat's an extremely lousy part of the cinemas here and they r free seating so you gotta go early to grab a nice seat else you gonna be like me when i caught my 1st movie WILD HOGS on my birthday we were seated 3rd row from the screen but their first few rolls aren't as bad as SG so kinda enjoyed the movie thou with a whopping 25Metres screen check that out near to an omni max screen but juz flat. =)

All right its the holiday week right now but there's soo many ASSIGNMENTS and TEST piling up after it. Guess It's nt really an HOLIDAY! but a WORKLIDAY for us here. Paying money to torture ourself can't believe that this is happening man. Well ANywya hope to get good grades for now thou i screwed up some shit earlier on but hope everything will turn out well after a REAL bad start in Australia hope everything will take a turn to the good. Pls help mi spend more money in SG to booast the ECONOMY! the currency of australia's is at a whopping 10yr HIGH dudes What you ppl in SG being doin!! Well.. i'm broke so PLS spend more to pull their currency down yea. KUM SIA KUM SIA.

Soo tired right now is early in the morning... Yesterday i went HARBOUR TOWN! Finally i went thhere after being in brisbane for two whole months and didn't really explore such places. I went with my Ex-PS weehock and 11PS Kelvin Chen and his girlfriend. Its kinda weire because they had to bring me to places where and nt the other way round because i'm here studying instead of them. Had BBQ dinner went clubbling last nite and watched my arsenal go 1-0 down at the Emirates staduim was devastating man. Sob.. But tough time won't last i know at the end of the day they will still be in for champions league position next season. 

 

Got thru a week of shit and now its the  "Vacation". But after the vacation there's soo much shit piling up!! Sob.. Can't really rest till everythings over and done with got research to do got assignment and project to submit and the worse of all i got a Mid Semester test coming up too!

 

SOb. Why is it that i'm paying money to make myself suffer? Simply can't really understand i should be ENJOYING!!!! Well i haven seen a movie over this week yet so might probably hope in to the cinemas this weekend. The exchange rate of Singapore DOllars is REALLY INCORRIGIBLE! it's a whopping 1.28 for UOB and a 1.25 for DBS. Sob y the singapore money soo weak can you ppl in singapore spend more money to booast the ECONOMY pls... yawns... And i miss SINGAPORE food it's too nice to forget... sob... the chinese food here all sub-standard! boring... i wanna catch 300. so probably gonna catch it later today or somehwere in the week i guess... Soo hungry right now. Gonna go hunt for food. Take care ppl. =)

N the best part is the tutor sucks too. u ask them a question they can't really answer u as their fucked up too. i can't understand how they could be tutors in the 1st place. i guess probably they've being fuckign around with the coordinator or perhaps wiht the dean of the school. else it's nt possible i guess... finally finished my two assingments for the week and watched Bean's Vacation. being a week of many ups and downs finally it came to a close last night. Got to play catch up for alot of courses if im gonna take all 4 course for this semester till now is getting quite tedious i hope to do well for all four.... got to study real hard right now.... no time to play too much.... Gonan study later tonight what boring day.... all rgiht gotta go groceries shopping catch ya guys later yea. ;D

dude's school's barely started for 4 weeks and i'm starting to becoming stress over the workload. Who the hell invented the circuits man!
Perhaps it's the way that the university system sucks. No TUTORIAL ONLY PRACTICAL! damn them... It's a totally screwed up system right now. Pondering if i should drop one course and perhaps overload on the next semester. it's getting rather annoying. All the course requries alot of background knowledge of stuffs but it's totally different from what i did in poly. Damn.. i think perhaps poly really gave us a lousy attitude towards study. Happy go lucky last minute still able to pass with credits. BUt here the workload is unbeliveable heavy and perhaps the tutors and the system really suck to a point that it's annoying to attend school. And the best part is when you've got a question to ask them they just shove u off to the side. WTF. Why am i paying my school fees feeding a bunch of useless assholes who doesn't do their job. I would rather work and enjoy life rather then paying soo much money to comeover to suffer this kind of crappy shit that AUSTRALIA's University of Queensland offer. They simply can't make things right they've being screwing from begining till now. All kind of crapy criteria for you to pass your courses. Damn.. But i realised one thing. the Ang Moh's here in my class r freakingly smart to a point that sometimes i seriously think i've gt a wrong concept of them from the start as they probbaly have a faster spining and better thinking mind.

Racism has being pretty all rgiht for me perhaps i because i didn't encounter any crappy situatoin like my friend being called all kind of names and being strucked by a egg thrown from a car. I don't know what's wrong with these ppl y can't we live in harmony. The school fees that i pay fund 3 fo their retards in the uni. I seriously think they should respect and worship us as we're the pillars of their finicial support here w/o us they will be broke by now. Not saying upgrading the campus and building a new campus in the city. That's total crap man.
